The research “Kazakhstan Mass Media: Key Participants, Possibilities, Needs and Risks” includes nearly 350 respondents from 10 regions of Kazakhstan. Editors-in-chief, media owners, publishers, state officials, NGO representatives and the journalism faculty of private and public universities participated in the study.
The research team aimed at determining the essential needs and estimating potential risks for the further development of media market in Kazakhstan. The research framework will benefit media and donor organizations along with the state agencies.
