Palliative Care Needs Assessment Republic of Kazakhstan

The international expert in palliative care Thomas Lynch was specially invited by Soros-Foundation-Kazakhstan to conduct the Palliative care needs assessment for Kazakhstani patients.

The aim of the needs assessment is to identify the need for palliative care in Kazakhstan and highlight the challenges and opportunities that are associated with future development of the discipline. The needs assessment includes comprehensive data on the healthcare system in Kazakhstan, the country, the population needing palliative care, the workforce required to deliver palliative care, and preliminary recommendations for the further implementation of palliative care services.
