Malika and Ainura studied how NGOs account to beneficiaries and how accountability to donors impedes NGOs’ accountability to clients and beneficiaries. The project has been fulfilled in the form of a case study. The concept of accountability presumes that clear answers can be given to these questions: who the organization serves, for whom and for what it has been established, and why it should exist. Recommendations for NGOs and donors have been provided based on the results of the research.
